Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
Yes, Andree, I could see men falling for Baxley. Warren Beatty was horrendous to women in ALL FALL DOWN but I was always particularly upset at his treatment of Barbara. Dudley! (I was always quite fond of Dudley Do-Right as well) I'll bet Cary would have been content to just be in the background on ...

Snapped Woman opens her door to a person dressed as a clown who shoots her (fatally) in the face. Victim's son tells police he saw shooter running away in a pair of combat boots. Later a detective tells us "The murderer was cunning, knowing a quick escape was necessary, he didn't wear those gia...

Fonda is a Sagittarius Sun. (Moon in Leo, Capricorn Rising)
My favorite performance of Jane's is BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. Great supporting cast -- Robert Redford (at ease in comedy), Charles Boyer and Mildred Natwick.
Shama-Shama!

That's a good one! A lot of these films (Including PLAN 9) could indeed go in the Bad Movies We Love thread, lol.
Not to mention the great ROBOT MONSTER (on YouTube!)

Yep, Holden, that scene was included and has been at least for the times that TCM has aired MARTY. It was always cut decades ago whenever I'd watch this movie on television back in the day and can almost understand why -- Clara's monologue to her parents seems awkward, out of place -- in fact doesn...

Men! lol, but seriously...Everyone was on Perry Mason -- even Bette Davis! Can't live with 'em, can't live.....The women here occasionally post about their favorite hunks, so why not about good looking actresses. Not Cary Grant. :D Andree, please feel free here to talk about your favorite attractiv...

THE ANGRY RED PLANET (1959) Oh it's angry alright. The crimson screen filter on "Mars" gives this bad classic one of our first psychedelic movie experiences (alongside THE TINGLER when Vincent Price goes on an LSD trip). The manned expedition includes a thoughtful professor (the always rel...

Well, he's relatively young. I'm sure he'll grow into being a daddy and husband. I wasn't really referring to her acting, but to her physical appearance. Very attractive with a nice figure. I think she was in at least one episode of Perry Mason. Karen Steele or Ann Morgan Guilbert. Boy, that's a to...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
I don't like the dismissive way Tommy treats Marty. Yes, Tommy is under pressure but that's no excuse for being so rude. It's very adolescent. I had only seen Karen Steele in some Randolph Scott western and wasn't impressed; that is, until I saw her in MARTY. Very kitchen-sink natural, as opposed to...

I don't like Tommy. Surly and self-absorbed. Virginia could have done better.

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
MARTY tonight. "A college girl -- one step from the street!" One of my top ten films, Aunt Catherine had many of the funniest lines. When she talked about her daughter in law- "She's a witch, that one! You know what she did to me yesterday, she gimme the evil eye!" "I'm 56 ...
