Re: I Just Watched...

Re: I Just Watched...

Ask me how excited I am seeing Edward G. Robinson taking a bath in KEY LARGO. I'm reminded of a comment I made about the early 30s movie Flesh : the problem with the movie is that we all want to see Karen Morley's flesh, but instead we only get Wallace Beery's flesh. As if Beery isn't repulsive eno...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES

To be honest, THE ROMAN SPRING OF MRS. STONE is one of the most depressing movies you'll ever see, and Warren Beatty's attempt at an Italian accent is atrocious. (much worse than George Hamilton's from LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA). On the plus side, Vivien Leigh's chic Eternal City apartment is to die for.

We'll be expecting THE ROMAN SPRING OF MRS. STONE and be greeted by BEACH PARTY.

Hey, Turner! "You stoopid!" (to quote Eric Von Zipper)

Re: I Just Watched...

You didn't like the nudist club scene? :D Oh it was thrilling, lol. I thought you'd like seeing shirtless Paul Newman. :P Well, that goes without saying but not in this kind of movie, lol. Besides I think he's sexier with an undershirt (THE LONG HOT SUMMER, HUD, and probably several others). Ask me...

Some might remember my warning about CASANOVA BROWN.

This horror showed up the other day on ScreenPix.

You must miss it.

Re: TCM Premieres....

THE MURDER OF MARY PHAGAN is excellent. I saw it when it first aired in 1988. Highly recommend.
