Bob
Dear Anne,
I can't remember if I've ever asked you this, but did you read that Bob Mitchum book that came out in 2002? There was a story in there about Loretta.

What I'd like to know is who isn't obsessed with Gary Cooper! My favorite
Gary films are Saratoga Trunk and For Whom The Bells Toll.
My favorite screwball comedies, though, are My Man Godfrey , Bringing Up Baby, and Adam's Rib.

Yes, I agree with sugarpuss. The Thrill of It All and Move Over, Darling are both enjoyable. Polly Bergen is in Move Over, Darling , and she's a total hoot in this one. If you are a Bergen fan, this is a must for her lighter touch. Thelma plays her no-nonsense advice-dispensing self in one of her la...

Dear Cinemalover, I enjoy reading your synopsis and about your family evenings watching films. I long for the days when my son and I would pick a movie and watch it. Now, he's in to the teenage years, loves to watch scary movies ( I don't much care for them), and it seems I do nothing right. Enjoy t...

I know someone who worked on the remake, and I must confess that I just couldn't bring myself to say great things about it to my friend at the time. I just hemmed and hahed because I know how hard she worked on it, and it was one of her first big movies. But I think that fact it was a corker is now ...

OOTP---Oops!
OMG, Dickie Moore! That was his name! (The Kid.) Thanks, Miss G., for your salient comments and a picture of THE hat. My mom went to millinery school in the early 40's, and I should post a photo of her in one of her creations once I decipher the protocol. After OOTP, Jane Russell wore a couple of gr...

Dear pktrekgirl, Can you make me an avatar from that cute Ginger Rogers photo with the pink balloon? I love that pink balloon. Even though that movie was in black and white, I always thought of that balloon as red. But it really should have been pink! Mrsl's Chuck Connors is fabulous. And Bob Hope, ...

Hope you will find a Doris Day film you enjoy. Love Me or Leave Me with James Cagney about the life of Ruth Etting is good, and I always recommend Calamity Jane for the sheer spunk of it all, plus it has some great songs. "Once I Had Secret Love" won the AA. Glad you're here, bobhopefan!
