Re: TCM - Message Board

Why do we have to go all the way to Alaska, said Chester. We could rob a bank in Baton Rouge.

Our headquarters are up there, said Thompson. The four Eskimo stripper girls have a flat in Frozen Lips.

In a good way of course. Just like music, you want to be moved. The more move...

I’m so glad I woke in time to watch Take Aim at the Police Van. It tickled me pink. So much cool s***. Fast as a Ferrari. Kudos to all involved!

Chester? Yeah? What’s up Dad? Have you ever been to Frozen Lips Alaska? No. I’ve been to Seattle Washington. We have a job to do up there. I haven’t told you but I am a career criminal. I plan and carry out complicated heists with the Gang. Is Badfellow and Hugh in the Gang? Yes they are Chester. Wh...

Re: TCM - Message Board

I asked my dog Chester if he wouldn’t mind getting me a cold beer out the fridge. I don’t know how to open the fridge, Chester said. Well, you gotta put your nose in that handle part and jerk your head back hard. Okay, I’ll try it. How do I close the fridge? You put your butt on the fridge door and ...

I don't even know what ID stands for. Investigation Discovery, it's a cable channel specializing in true crime. I just reread Catch-22 a few years ago. I remember when the movie came out it got mostly bad reviews. I haven't seen it in a long time so I'd have to watch it again to evaluate it. Heller...

Albert Finney was a real character. I didn’t see him much but he came to the restaurant every day for lunch while he was in the shoots for Miller’s Crossing, They were all early morning shoots, you see. All the girls just loved him to pieces. The girls would come over to the front desk to get change...

Right, I’m watching the Rangers game . Jankowski is up, one out two on, first and second, bottom of the twelfth. I like the name Jankowski, he’s up, sounds sorta like Bukowski. I like him, I think he’s very funny. The Barfly actor is really a nice guy. So calm. You know he’s a big student/fan of Spe...

Re: What are you listening to?

Bix was born and raised (I think) very close to me. I was hatched in Rock Island Illinois. It’s right next door to Moline, then you take the bridge to Davenport Iowa. That’s right where the Bix festival is held. On the Mississippi River. In fact, it’s held at the AAA baseball stadium. (I think)

Re: SPORTS

All you people know all this stuff. A man can learn. What’s the noir movie tonight/tomorrow? I have to say I like E. Muller a lot. His intros and outros are always so interesting. Sharp dresser. That means a lot! Very few sharp dressers these days.

The interleague play goes against my grain too, JJ, They shouldn’t even have a National league and an American League. What’s the difference? Same with football I guess. But I Love baseball, all baseball fans Love baseball. It’s the rhythm of the game. I do like a lot of the new rules. I don’t like ...

Oh wait, I remember now. Some folks are sticklers for staying on topic. Jimi and Willy are not really sports figures, but I have a feeling the two wouldn’t mind a bit if they were made sport of.

Wow, didn’t know any of that. Thanks. I also like a lot the Willy DeVille version, with the Spanish thing going on.

Re: TCM - Message Board

Oh yeah, i forgot dog number two. When was the last time you heard somebody say ‘I stepped in a dog number two’?

Or like The Rolling Stones song — Got to scrape that number two right off my shoe?
