Sorry to hear Hibi left. Any explanation of what happened?CinemaInternational wrote: ↑Yesterday, 6:27 pm Yes. It happened to me, to Lorna, to Andree, to Masha, and to Hibi. And Hibi left because of it.

Re: Additions to Your Collection
I recently found a source for DVD's of The Thin Man TV series and purchased them. Unfortunately not of high quality and no captioning. But, I had wanted them for a long time. Recorded some from one of the OTA channels a while back, but lots of commercials. Ironically, the source used the openings fr...

Banned for Trolling
Sometimes when I try to log in, I get a message that my "IP Address" is permanently banned due to trolling. Not true. Regardless, sometimes I can login and make entries and then sometimes I can't. Did change my password, but that may not last long. Has this happened to anyone else? Sent me...

Moon Over Miami
Moon Over Miami is on at 9:45 PM, June 4th. I actually don't care much for musicals, but this one I like. Enough to have a DVD of it. Maybe it is the setting or the time period - or both. I also like Carole Landis.

Re: Noir Alley
Watched Tomorrow is Another Day and realized I had seen it before. For some reason I just couldn't get into it as it seemed to drag a lot. Also, some scenes, actions just seemed too implausible. Even in 1951, they just turned him lose without having to see a probation officer/social worker to help ...

Re: The Falcons on Saturday mornings
Just a reminder, one of the better Falcons, The Falcon and the Co-Eds, is on Saturday, June 01. Dorothy Malone is in it somewhere.
There are also a variety of other TCM "featurettes" on Saturday mornings as well.

Saturday Mornings on TCM
With the variety of features TCM is presenting on Saturday mornings, I thought it might be worth a topic of its own. First, The Falcon and the Co-Eds is an excellent one in the series to watch. James A. Fitzpatrick has a very good feature as well - Glimpses of Florida . Too bad, his shows could not ...

Re: Noir Alley
Looks like Tomorrow is Another Day is the Noir Alley feature (Saturday, midnight and again Sunday at 10:00 AM EDT). The first-rate noir, Gun Crazy is being shown Saturday, at 9:45 PM EDT, and Cast a Dark Shadow, a British mystery\thriller, Sunday at 8:30 AM EDT. I like Tomorrow is Another Day with ...

Re: The Falcons on Saturday mornings
I’ve been enjoying a lot of these, especially the one that is adapted (only somewhat liberally) from FAREWELL MY LOVELY. One thing I’ve noticed, and this is strange coming for me, because I am Goldstar GAY, but THE WOMEN IN THESE MOVIES ARE FINE AS HELL. Like extra sexy, and they have a very modern...

I didn't realize that - Wikipedia matches that up with the third film in the series, The Falcon Takes Over . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Falcon_Takes_Over (See the Producti...

Haven't seen the movie and missed it this time.
But, I learned in Army training that you never pull the pin on a hand grenade with your teeth. You will damage your teeth even if you succeed.

Always liked Eva Marie Saint. Recently watched Because of Winn Dixie (2005) and she was one of the actresses in it.

Re: Vietnam War essentially ignored - Again!
There are older Vietnam war movies, such as China Gate (1957), Flame over Vietnam (1957) and The Quiet American (1958). 1978's Go Tell the Spartans (Burt Lancaster) is one of my favorites. TCM is also showing a goodly number of fairly recent movies of all types these days, so going back to the 80's...
