It's noirish! We don't do it all the time. Just when some news hits.
Why not start an ID channel thread or similar under one of the other places?
The shows don't sound "noirish" to me, just another mystery/crime embellished by a TV channel/personalities.
Here is the list I have for the 13 Falcon films shown before on TCM: - Starring George Sanders as Gay Lawrence 01 The Gay Falcon (1941) 02 A Date with the Falcon (1942) 03 The Falcon Takes Over (1942) 04 The Falcon's Brother (1942) (with Tom Conway as Tom Lawrence) - Starring Tom Conway as Tom Lawr...
Of the 4 movies, "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid." His brief cameo in "The Muppet Movie." But of course, "The Jerk." Not sure what the theme is. Not his birthday. Don't remember ever seeing "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels." "Father of the Bride" wasn't even clo...
24K Gold Music Shows on YouTube. Stumbled across this when looking for rock, pop, doo wop music. Very entertaining. Has a lot of performers, but best by far are the six women who dance and sing the oldies classics. There are others who perform solos or sing with group, but I don't think they are ver...
Even though I have seen it many times, I watched The Falcons Brother again. I was impressed by Jane Randolph. She also appears in the next Falcon movie, The Falcon Strikes back, which IMO is really well done. Harriett Hillard is also in it and far better acting than any she did as Harriett Nelson. O...
PAULA NEWS! Her show wasn't on last night! They are running In Pursuit again. Might be the beginning of the end! She was only on 3 months this time around. (As opposed to 5-6 mos. in the past). They may be phasing her out. (moving her from Sundays etc.)

Don't know if this has been going on, but noticed The Falcon movies on May 4 and May 11 in the Saturday morning line-up. Is TCM going to show all of them in the Saturday morning lineup? Regardless, these are some of my favorite movies to watch and re-watch. Have them on DVD. I think Tom Conway is be...
And starring MISS SHELLEY WINTERS as Dixie Evans! Who came up with THAT billing? I was so unimpressed with the film, I forgot to check this thread! PU!!! It was static and as hammy as I (vaguely) remembered it! Hard to say who was the hammiest, Steiger or Palance. (At least Steiger wasn't in the wh...

Surprised there have not been any comments about The Big Knife on Apr.27/28. I had seen it before, but recorded it and watched the first hour and then went out and did some yard work. Came back and fast forwarded through a lot of it. Too much talking and "angst" by everybody. Too long also.
(Unrelated, but I wish that Warners would get Knots Landing on streaming sometime. Dallas made a big splash on Prime when it resurfaced, and Knots was always the better written show, so it would be nice for its episodes to be seen by the general public for the first time in nearly 20 years. Warners ...
Ironically, the next episode we watched last night of Perry Mason was Paul Drake's Dilemma. A good episode, but not sure why it would have been rated #3. Paul is my favorite character of all on the series. As for the Final Fade Out, that was the closing episode for the series. Not as good as some ot...
Speaking of original Perry Mason TV series, I am always highly interested in the automobiles. Perry would go from a Ford to a Cadillac to a Lincoln, etc. Paul usually drove the best cars - mostly Thunderbirds. Perry paid him well. In the early episodes, Perry drives what looks like a standard Ford, ...
