Re: I Just Watched...
Rosalie is remembered on QVC as the infamous foul-mouthed caller who could be heard over the phone yelling "Get the f*ck away, I'm talking to Leah Williams!!" Unflappable host Leah just laughed and told us "Some people are so passionate about what we're selling" LMREO!!!!!!!!!

Re: I Just Watched...
I looked up Rosalie and it seems to have had a resurgence lately due to a character in the Twilight series (and no, I'm not making this up!) So, that's nice. There was a Cole Porter 20s musical with that title that was later made into a film with Eleanor Powell in the 30s.

Re: I Just Watched...
also, I hate to speculate, but FANTASTIC AS SHE IS, I get the sense the role came very naturally to LANSBURY and she had A BLAST doing it- the 1970s were kind of the beginning of the whole "you need to suffer and be miserable and lose or gain 60 pounds in order to get a nomination" trend ...

Re: I Just Watched...
What I think of as "old lady names"--names that no woman under 60 had when I was growing up--are back in fashion. Hannah, Emma, Sophie, Eliza, Amelia--a friend has high school students with these names. I know people who have named their little girls Mabel and Millie. Rosalie is much wort...

Also, the name ROSALIE is surprisingly lovely and tasteful, I wonder if MR OTTERBOURNE talked SALOME out of naming her God only knows what... Eros? Phylandrea? Trellis? Vanity? Clytemenstra? Amaryllis? Apple? would love to have seen her list. LOL! Apparently sanity prevailed. I have a cousin named ...

also, I have to GRIPE that searching for IMAGES or DELETED SCENES for DEATH ON THE NILE 1978 on most SEARCH ENGINES clogs my results with images from the unfortunate (RECENT) remake which I would rather not discuss because, believe it or not, but I'm trying to be less of a b!tch, at least for the m...

FMQ was fairly entertaining. It's not original or top drawer, but it gets the job done in one hour, though it is a bit of a bare bones flick. I don't mind if the cop isn't obsessed. Sometimes I like to see a regular cop, just like Otis Campbell liked to see a bat once in a while. I do think that Lu...

I recall that in the PBS version of Nile, the Lois Chiles first victim part was played by a then-unknown Emily Blunt, two years before she made a name for herself in The Devil Wears Prada, and that the Bette Davis role was played by Judy Parfitt, who was very memorable in Dolores Claiborne. AND WHA...

I may very well make some people angry by saying this, but I’m not 100% sold on David Suchet being that good an actor. But a lot of people love him, and physically he does resemble the character the most My post seems to have disappeared. I don't think I could watch another Poirot episode again. I'...
