Carol, I couldn't help but tear up at your story. What is it about dogs that make us love them so much? You reminded me of my first dog Panther. He was a Boston Terrier and was my best friend growing up. Despite the fact that he only lived two years he instilled in me a lifelong love of dogs. Mere ...

Does Cinesage still like to correct grammer over at TCM ...

Re: Joanne Woodward

I hope this is appropriate under the circumstances, but I thought it would be good idea to pay tribute to Paul's lovely wife Joanne Woodward. I was impressed by a young Joanne in Count Three And Pray, where she squats in the house, belonging to new preacher Van Heflin. She at first becomes his tomb...

Hi, Very sad but not unexpected news.... The photo of him in a wheelchair looking debillitated from cancer alerted me to the 'all is not well here' mood and sure enough it wasn't long before we now have this news.... A good looking guy, who was that Hollywood rarity - a great star and a fine actor....

The editing and sound effects (as well as the wonderful soundtrack) create the illusion, and we use our own minds to fill in the gaps we cannot see. From here to the end of the film, the ...
