Re: San Francisco Silent Film Festival 2010

In addition, I'm really bummed that I missed the Nitrateville breakfast at Donna's. Maybe we can wrangle an invitation for next year. Consider yourself invited. Already in the planning stages, it's going to be a cocktail party prior to the opening film. I still have leftover bacon if anyone is inte...

Re: San Francisco Silent Film Festival

The oxymoron of being exhausted and yet up at 4am, I still have not typed out my thoughts on the festival. That will come later today, I hope. Had a side trip to LA to round out the weekend, the Academy screening of Four Horsemen. Awesome. Gotta give a shout out to MoraldoRubini. Thanks for stopping...

Re: Rudolph Valentino The Silent Idol - published at last

I am overwhelmed ccfan.

Feaito, I will be offering direct sales after the first book events are done for those unable to order from blurb direct. BTW, guess what just came back in the mail to me? The Magician! So I owe it to you again.

Re: Rudolph Valentino The Silent Idol - published at last

Wow, Alison! Thank you! I'm thrilled with the response. The book has been welcomed by everyone who has ordered a copy and the feedback has been 110% positive. For a book that is at this point only going on by word of mouth, the sales have been impressive for a book that is just over 2 weeks old. To ...

Re: *CANDIDS*

I don't care whether he has a toupee or not. I watched him recently in Mayerling as Crown Prince Rudolf, I always prefer him in his romantic roles. I don't mind which language he's speaking, I could listen to him for ages. You and me both! He's a dream. I laugh at that photo, because both Colman an...

Re: San Francisco Silent Film Festival

Donna, I so wish I could be there! We have a big weekend at the Disney Family Museum celebrating the 55th anniversary of Disneyland that I'll be at. I think MoraldoRubini is going to be at the SFSFF. I'm hoping he'll get Bill Wellman, Jr (sigh) to sign my book. Kevin Brownlow, Bill Wellman, Jr, Jef...

Re: Rudolph Valentino The Silent Idol - published at last

Donna, I'm so happy for you :D . I tried to follow the link but my connection won't allow me. Is it listed on Amazon or is it better to go through the publishers? While I have an ISBN, it's not yet going to be offered on amazon at this point (too complicated to explain here) Try going to blurb.com ...

I remember this from late night local television on weekends, often scary punctuated by some hilarious vignettes. This one features Aggie and the hilarious Ruth Buzzi.

Re: Chicago

I loved this when I saw it on the big screen. I'm looking forward to the extras on the set, too. This is a terrific movie and I much prefer it to the musical remake of a few years back.
