I talked to a Warner Bros contact and he seemed to think that the Maytime story "more of a legend, but it's not totally impossible. But, if it did happen, there is no Color footage extant, or any record as such."

Sorry - maybe one day we will be proved wrong and it is in someone's attic!!!
