Tribute to Kyle

Post by Lzcutter »

TCM has done a lovely tribute to KyleinHollywood on the new message boards.

He has many friends here who don't visit the TCM message boards much so I wanted to let you know about it.

You don't have to sign in or anything to view the tribute.

Here is the link to follow:

http://forums.tcm.com/

At the top of the page is a cityscape. In the middle are five blinking yellow lights.

Hover your mouse over the blinking lights.

When the rooftop sign appears, click on the sign.

TCM has also archived Kyle's poster galleries and his memorial thread in a forum all its own.

You don't have to sign in to view it.

Here's the link to that:

Let me know what you think!

It's a wonderful tribute. It's nice to know that TCM isn't so corporate that it found time and put in the effort to honor someone as beloved as was Kyle.

He won't be far away.

Nice job. He worked really hard on those posters and put a lot of thought into everything he wrote. Glad to see it preserved for others.

I am so happy that all of Kyle's threads have been archived, and the lovely photo has been added at the top where the blinking lights are when we click on the In Memory of Kyle Kersten letters, reminiscent of the Hollywood sign. A very appropriate pathway to his photo with Robert.

"And I still miss someone"

A year ago this week our lives were changed when we got the news that had we lost Kyle.

In October, a group of us got together to remember him at the Formosa Cafe here in the City of Angels.

We miss you Chief.

We wish you were still here making us laugh and sharing your knowledge, wisdom and great images with us, but, in your own way, you are still a part of our lives and always will be.

You are and always will be our friend.

It's hard to believe the year has passed. What a loss.

I think many of us miss him all the time. Thanks for honoring him again here as well as on TCM.

Thank you, Lynn. It's hard to believe, like Chris said, that a year has passed.
