This morning I received notification that I had a Private Message in my PM box here at the Oasis.

I eagerly opened the site so I could see who had written to me only to discover there was no Private Message.

Any idea what happened to it? Is it lost in cyberspace?

I've had two private message notifications show up in my Yahoo email inbox in the last 24 hours, but when I checked here to read them, there was nothing there. If anyone is trying to contact me, hope you'll re-send. Given some of the recent events with Yahoo's system, it may be a problem on their end rather than here, but I thought that I should let you know here.

There's no way to tell. If someone sends you a PM, then withdraws it before you read it, you'll get the notification but message. I'm guessing that's what's happening here.

I just recently received my first PM (thanks Moira!) and am not sure if my reply has gone through. Firstly, I had it composed and then clicked on preview, and it dissapeared. So I re-typed it and hit send; now I'm seeing it in my outbox, rather than under sent items. Is this normal?

Moira - did my message make it to your In-box?

It will remain in your Outbox until the recipient reads it. Then it moves to Sentbox. This allows you to edit or delete the message before it's read.
