Re: CANDIDS II
I still check this thread regularly here or on the TCM message board. It is a personal essential for me. Despite the changes that have come thanks to many more outlets to share our love of classic film, I enjoy "touching base" here and we are still bringing authors for Q & A exchanges here regularly. It would be great if people could let us know what features you really enjoy, such as Mongo's delightful compendium.
Thanks again, Joe, for your hard work. The pleasure you have given many of us is not measurable.

One way to accomplish that goal might be to post a survey, and then send out an email to the membership alerting them to it. Leave the survey open for a couple of weeks. The results should be of some use if there is interest in making changes to appeal to evolving interests. Just my two cents.moira finnie wrote:It would be great if people could let us know what features you really enjoy, such as Mongo's delightful compendium.

Tony Forwood (top) ex husband of birthday gal Glynis Johns with Dirk Bogarde.
Forwood had left his actress wife, Glynis Johns, and their son to move in with Bogarde to become his lover.

Here is birthday gal Carole Lombard and her mother, Bessie Peters
one pic from 1932 soon after she signed with Paramount and the other from 1942, Carole and her mother were always very close and her mother accompanied her everywhere. After a war bond rally in Carole and Bessie's home state of Indiana they stopped off in Las Vegas before taking the next flight to Hollywood, sadly the two of them had boarded the fatal plane that crashed soon after take off, they died the same year the second photo was taken

Birthday gal Carole Lombard and a bearded Clark Gable chowing down at the MGM commissary (not sure what film he's got these whiskers for; it's probably not "Parnell"):
