KRIS has done a couple of movies that are very good.
PAT GARRETT & BILLY THE KID and BRING ME THE HEAD OF ALFREDO GARCIA leap to mind.

That's hilarious - I was thinking of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore and Lone Star. :)

Yeah...in "LONE STAR" you really were glad he was shot and killed. But I wanted to love up Kris Kristofferson in "THE SAILOR WHO FELL FROM GRACE WITH THE SEA." (1976) I love his gentle drawl. Wait...thirty-five years ago. That can't be right. I saw this in the movies. I need an aspirin.

This is why I no longer wear a beard! When the hair is one color and the beard another...

Cinemaven, it's interesting that you mention the drawl. I knew a blind lady who went to that movie in 1976. She was ready to run off with the man! Forget Rita Coolidge!

LONE STAR is a terrific film. John Sayles' best? That would be saying a lot. I knew someone who called it THE best movie she'd ever seen. Wow!

Finally, I appreciate everyone's defending KK's acting ability. I was kidding around, mostly. He's a songwriter foremost. An outstanding one. But he's not a bad actor. He's a good type.

I suppose I could give the later version a go, I've enjoyed Barbra's earlier forays into film, I'm not that fimiliar with Kris Kristoferson but I do like that two tone look.

As I recall, it's really stupid. I was forced to go with my best friend who loved the movie. Ah the subterfuge I had to carry out to make sure she didn't know I hated it.
