Is one of my favorite Westerns with a great Alfred Newman score, it's airong on TCM at this mement. 8)

This Henry Hathaway directed Western has nice performances by Janet Margolin and Suzanne Pleshette.

I saw it not long ago. Mostly enjoyed it but thought the middle (the Louisiana prison) went on too long. I never quite bought into him getting himself in jail to take care of Kennedy when logic would seem that he could just wait. But it is the movies.

I saw Nevada Smith so long ago, I barely remember it. I do remember the tobacco pouch and what it was made of. That was too gruesome to forget. I saw the movie at the time, (I was not a George Peppard fan), because of it's reference in The Carpetbaggers, and Alan Ladd was a favorite of mine. One of these days I'll catch it again.
