Gen, it's so nice to see you here at the Oasis. I'm from the UK so not that well up on TCM America. I do know from the films discussed here that you show some gems. TCM UK is nowhere near as rich in terms of variety and we have no Robert Osbourne here either. It's great to here these films are getting a showing.

I'd like to ask, how do you decide who to have as star of the month? If you could chose the programming using a star and their films every day, who might you chose?

Dear Gen,

I was unable to attend last years festival but have read all the posts pertaining to it and it sounded like fun and a great success!!
I intend to be at the upcoming one in 2011...

Do we dare to suggest the stars we would like to see attending the Festival???!!!
Well I say - yes we do - and so, here goes:

Anne Francis and Dale Robertson showing "Lydia Bailey"
Jane Russell with "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"
Janis Paige in "Silk Stockings"
Rhonda Fleming and Arlene Dahl presenting "Slightly Scarlet"
Joan Fontaine and Louis Jourdan with "A Letter from an Unknown Woman"
Eleanor Parker presenting "Caged" or "Interrupted Melody"
John Gavin with "Back Street"
Constance Towers in "Horse Soldiers"

also Ann Rutherford and Anne Jeffreys...

I hope these are helpful and you can pass them on to whomever has the authority to approach these fine stars...

Thanks for your time...

Larry
