What are you listening to?
Re: What are you listening to?
Yes James, I know that.
I opened the link provided by Belle and it worked.
Not sure if the stations I've mentioned stream outside of the
United States of America.
The time difference is pretty big.
Not quite a full day ahead from CA.

I've lived in Europe so I don't know anything about the USA's radio stations. I wasn't meaning to offend you or your nation.jimimac71 wrote: ↑August 5th, 2023, 12:49 pmYou aren't trying to say Classical radio stations in the U.S. of A. are bad, are you?Belle wrote: ↑August 4th, 2023, 1:30 pm Radio BR-KLASSIC. (Bayern Classic FM.) One of the best 'classical' stations, from Germany, which can be streamed. The ideal salve to publicly funded English-speaking 'classic' stations which are boring to the point of being comatose.

I know of a couple of listener supported Classical stations which are top notch.
Actually, the Presenters more than the music.
My Classical music knowledge is a bit slim.
One is KDFC in Northern California (KDFC.com).
Another is Minnesota Public Radio (yourclassical.org)

I was not offended Belle. I might have been a little sarcastic.Belle wrote: ↑August 5th, 2023, 6:09 pmI've lived in Europe so I don't know anything about the USA's radio stations. Turns out Dargo was contagious. <grin>
I find it exciting that we have members here from other countries.
I live too far north of San Francisco to receive anything but news talk on AM radio.
Few of my local stations are worth listening to.
My favorite music is all on the Internet.
Beautiful Music from a station in Texas.
Old music going back to cylinder recordings from Washington State.
Both are listener supported FM stations.
World War II music from Accuradio.
Here's a favorite cylinder:
Jim, Jim, I always knew that you'd win.
Arthur Fields.
Edison Record: 6472.
Release year:1919
