My Agent tried his best to acquire this piece from eBay a short time back and he came within 1 hour of the completed sale - so instead I got a complimentary photograph of it.

Rita Cansino's German Cigarette Cards in the 30's













I've just acquired these from my Agent that got them from a dear friend of his back in Chicago and he was wondering if he was willing to sell them to me and I agree on a certain fixed price - plus copies of my Shoulder-Tied Photos from Down to Earth and we were very happy to get these cards that were printed in the mid-30's and these are original photos and I was very pleased with them.

She did a lot of glamour photos in 1955 to promote her failed film project that Mr. Cohn pulled the plug of Joesph of the Brethen of which did more harm to Rita than to Mr. Cohn. Still today, it's remains a partial mystery to me of why this movie got the axe.
