"If Mae West you like
Or
me undressed you like
Why, nobody will oppose . . ."

Here's the recording my songwriter Cole Porter:

Here's probably my favorite recording of the song, which is from 2011 Broadway revival of Anything Goes starring Sutton Foster:

Here's probably my favorite recording of the song, which is from 2011 Broadway revival of Anything Goes starring Sutton Foster:

I'm a fan of Cole Porter.
It's interesting to see how the lyrics of "Anything Goes" have been altered over the years since the song was written in 1934.
He wrote the song for Ethel Merman. It's possible that she objected to the lines "if love affairs you like/With young bears you like." (It's reported that she objected to the song "Kate the Great" that was cut during rehearsals because of a lesbian reference that she said couldn't sing in front of her mother on opening night.)
Cole Porter was on board with the alterations that made the song "mainstream," and it ultimately became part of the Great American Songbook.
In later years, many of the cut lyrics have been returned in revivals.

Mt favorite version of the song is by Patti LuPone, who played Reno Sweeney in 1987 Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES.

The recording below was made in 2021. She appears to be performing in her home.
