Something veeeerrrryyy creepy (to quote Count Floyd) about comparing those pix of hypnotic-eyed Donald Pleasance and Larry Fine . . .

Isn't it just? George and Cary, I suppose they were going through similar career paths at the time, not top rung stars, Cary got Gary Cooper's cast offs and George was often in support but sometimes in the lead. Yet it never occured to me that they would have known one another at all.

It has George's lovely smile too, always a bonus.

Are George Raft and Cary Grant in that picture? Call me crazy, but the one I have eyes for is Jack Oakie.

I love the way Cagney looks there, Joe; granite. Rugged.

RE: Rolf & Jimmy: Another wonderful pic from Joe.

Jimmy Cagney definitely had his own unique look. Curious of the year of the photo, though. Jimmy really seemed to age in a short period of time. Compare the ten years between THE ROARING TWENTIES and WHITE HEAT. From 40 to 50 and what looks more like a 20-year age difference.

Pvitari: To each his own, but preferring Jack Oakie over Cary and/or George:

UNTHINKABLE.
