One look at Ron Randell's photo and I said, "Oh, that's Cole Porter from KISS ME KATE!"

Hi,
Ron Randall played a Roman soldier in "King of Kings", who lusts for Viveca Lindfors and she vamps back. It's all rather implied in the movie; but in reality, it was rumoured that they did 'get it on' and contributed to her divorce....
I must say that they do make a good looking couple in the film!!
Larry

The make-up probably didn't look so "intense" on film. That still though, camera flash and lots of setting powder do not make a good combination.

Oooohhh, CineMaven -- What should we do today to honor Janis Carter? Perhaps something cruel and deceitful, but yet ever so lovely?

Joe,
Are you hiding the fact that you also share a birthday of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.'s favorite son -- Edward D. Wood, Jr.?
More cause for celebration!

Me too, Joe. In fact, some of my best college memories were when a small group of us would skip Friday Sociology classes to go to one of our homes with a couple of cases of beer and watch Ed Wood movies. That's why it amazed me years later to find myself spending eight wonderful months in Vegas working with Dolores Fuller on her book and actually living with this woman who shared part of her life with this eccentric movie director.
And really neither JAIL BAIT nor BRIDE OF THE MONSTER is that terrible. The latter offered Bela's last substantial screen performance.
