I'd never seen that picture of Clark Gable in training. I thought he must have been one of the oldest men to have signed up but the photographic evidence says perhaps not, perhaps at this point older and younger men were joining the fight as this picture would suggest.

This is only picture that I have showing both birthday girls in their only movie together in "Only Angels Have Wings" back in 1939. I spent a lot of time researching this movie and the funny thing that I never put these two actresses sharing the same birthday together!
