The new edition sounds slightly better than the previous edition Sunrise put out. Let us know what you think Jeffrey. No extras though.

April,
As with the new edition of MANTRAP released a couple months ago, the new version of HULA is a vast improvement. Very nice print, and transfer I felt. Sunrise also released a new version of Colleen Moore's ELLA CINDERS just last month. Highly recommended. If you have seen HULA on DVD-R from Grapevine or Prowlin' Films. This is a huge step-up from either of those two brands.

This is great news, we are definetly in need of more Clara Bow releases.

That is great news! I like Clara and Colleen very much. I've only seen a very bad copy of "Ella Cinders." I'd really like to see a nice print that does it justice. I could tell it was a great comedy even through the murkiness. I may have to treat myself for Christmas to both "Ella Cinders" and "Hula."

April, Alison,
I was going to post some still captures here. Unfortunately, they are way to large. The smallish size limitations for graphics are one reason I haven't posted much in the past few months. I will re-size these later today, and post them later on.
In the meantime, here is a taste of MANTRAP. There are some variances caused by the difference in the two type's of film-stock that were used to film the movie, and how they translate to the dupe negative. Causing some of the footage to look overexposed. Although most of it is is not like that.

Jeffrey,
April is a pretty name, so I really don't mind you calling me that, but my name is Brenda. Thanks for the "Mantrap" videos. Clara sparkles!

Brenda,
I'm sorry I thought that you were April? I know an April, and I guess I mixed up the screen names. Here is a charming and hilarious clip from ELLA CINDERS. Sadly, this film is not complete. Only 16 Millimeter Kodascope's from the early 1930's survive. Those were cut-down from 7 reels to just 5. So at least a good 25 minutes or so, is probably missing.
