Sherlock (New BBC series)

Post by pvitari »

Attention Sherlock Holmes fans! Are you ready for a reboot of Sherlock Holmes, set in modern day London, with Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes and Martin Freeman as Watson?

Check out the trailer here:

It's already airing in the U.K. on the BBC and from what I've read, the audience really liked it. Should show up in the U.S. on PBS in late October. I think there's just 3 episodes in this first season (or series as they call it in the U.K.)

I am an avowed fan of Jeremy Brett as my ideal Sherlock. That said, I'll absolutly be watching when it airs on Mystery, I am addicted to this show on PBS.

Jeremy Brett is my ideal Holmes too.

I've been reading comments about the new show at various places online, and the fans in the U.K. are giving it very positive reviews. So maybe here in the U.S. we have something to look forward to after all. It will be nice to see a younger Holmes, even if he's a 21st century one. :)
