THE EXTREME RANDOMNESS OF TRIVIA

Well, I just thought of a new question, and I haven't seen it anywhere before. Hence the new thread title. If you guess the answer, you have the privilege of thinking up another one. If no one guesses what it is in a week, then you must reveal the answer, and you can choose to add a new question, or open the thread to someone else. Okie-dokie?

Name the film actor and the two films he appeared in when the song "When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again" is sung by others. This particular actor did not join in the singing on screen, but had a major role in both films.

Speaking of when "Johnny Comes Marching Home Again", that tune (sans lyrics) was a recurring theme in a movie each time a particular set appeared.

Name the movie and the later-to-become lead actor who was making his film debut on that particular set.

Chio, I almost want to say DR. STRANGELOVE. You know you're in the bomber when you hear that music. But the future star you refer to. James Earle Jones? Of course, it's Slim Pickens' scene. But I'm pretty sure that wasn't his debut.

P. S.

The music is most effective! I love those scenes.

Then you should say it.

Sure they're Slim Pickens' scenes, but making his film debut with the voice of God (Heaven forbid that Slim Pickens' voice might be mistaken for the voice of God) was James Earl Jones.

The ruling of the Court is that RedRiver came close enough for government work. Take it away....

Next question: There are two movies in which Bela Lugosi and another actor speak this exchange.

"Sounds like a lot of supernatural baloney to me."
"Supernatural, perhaps. Baloney, perhaps not."

The two actors don't appear in the second movie. Their voices are dubbed from the earlier film. Can anybody name both titles?

I'll jump start this if I may. In answer to my own question, the first movie is Universal's THE BLACK CAT. Lugosi and David Manners utter those melodramatic lines. Their recorded voices are heard in a later movie. Anyone? Anyone?

I'll go ahead and blow this one. The film in which Lugosi and Manners' voices are used is The Monkees' vehicle, HEAD. With so many of us coming from the 1960's culture, I thought it might be familiar.
