Colorizing b&w photos of golden-age actors is popular, and some are quite good at it -- yourself included.

My favorite is Agnes Moorehead, who seems to be a favorite also among colorizers. You might appreciate these samples from Madame Scandaleuse, a scandinavian graphic designer:
