The Gorgeous Hussy (Edmund Randolph was not an irresistible ladykiller. A shocking revelation of just how badly Hollywood can do the history of its own country a century ago. At least in the 2030s we won't see movies of thirties Hollywood where women throw themselves at Peter Lorre.)

The Great Ziegfeld (How could a movie have one of the greatest screen couples in the history of Hollywood be so tedious, yet be so rewarded and even more so gives its one acting award to Luis Rainer?)
