Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
You mean like casting him as the Next Great American Novelist in Susan Slade and as the Next Great American Painter in Rome Adventure ? I do like Troy Donahue as Johnny in A SUMMER PLACE opposite Sandra Dee's Molly. MOLLY We've gotta be good Johnny. JOHNNY Good... Is it that easy to be good? MOLLY ...

I found OTOV to be very charming for the first half hour and then the musical numbers started, some of which were on the corny side....

Correction -- DIABOLIQUE is on tomorrow (Sunday), not Monday.

Re: I Just Watched...
The character of singer "Johnny Fontaine" was a thinly disguised Sinatra in THE GODFATHER.
Wonder if Old Blue Eyes saw the movie and thought about suing Coppola or Mario Puzo.

Holden, how could I forget Girl For All Seasons??? I think I would put that one ahead of Cool Rider! My brain is shrinking to walnut-size.... Everybody, do not forget DIABOLIQUE on Monday. Between that classic French horror movie and PSYCHO, I couldn't even enter my bathroom for about a week without...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
Something in my opinion that makes THE GODFATHER one of the greatest if not arguably the greatest American movie is the brief scene during the baptism crossfire -- of Clemenza in his underwear on his back in bed -- the extraordinary cinematography transforms this grubby gangster into the subject of ...

Speaking of lips, I'm going to smack mine tonight as I chow down on a satisfying Italian feast while watching THE GODFATHER (for the upteenth time), followed by THE FRESHMAN. My meal of course will be on the advice of Sollozzo -- "Try the veal, it's the best in the city" Michael and I wil...

This mode of transportation is actually an integral form of transportation in many a movie. Even Andy Hardy. (he has a man-to-man talk with Lewis Stone about owning one if I remember correctly)

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
Dargo, you know me so well, lol! Actually Troy is more like a brother figure for me. But it's also because of his fish lips. Let's face it, they're blubbery, and I am a thin-lipped guy kind of girl.

Connie was cute as Cricket in HAWAIIAN EYE. That was before her nose job.
