Gagman,
The last poll was to decide the bestavorite noir and after several failed tie-breaking attempts we ended up with co-champions:
Out of the Past and Touch of Evil.

I'll miss your votes on the silents, but I'm glad you're able to check in.

Thanks for your early lists.

Also you are allowed to edit your lists right up to the deadline if you happen to remember any films that you'd rather have on there. This often happens once other lists get posted and help jog the old memory.

Another safe list. At least there are some solid entries that had a profound effect on the genre. I'm not sure how Shrek makes that list though. Snow White started the animated feature genre, Pinnochio includes some of the best quality animation ever filmed. Beauty and the Beast was the first animat...

Mike,
I recorded it last night just in case. Is it not worth the time?

This list is at least a nice combination of older and more recent choices.

I like Pulp Fiction, but it would never make any top gangster film list for me.

2001=grossly overrated.

How this film continues to dominate these lists is beyond me. The list as a whole is fairly unimaginative.

I refuse to recognize Miracle on 34th Street as a fantasy, it would mean acknowledging that Santa isn't real. I'm just not ready for that, I have to hold on to some of my childhood dreams.

Any silent, any country, any year.

The only limits are your boundaries of preference and your definition of non-comedy.

Nice summary, Bryce.

George will be missed. He was one of the few "can't miss" stand-ups as I was growing up.

Rest easy, old friend.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid has no business on a top ten western list. The Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head bicycle segment alone is enough to get it banned from any respectable western list. As great as Newman and Redford are together this film is incredibly over-rated.

Good morning ChiO, Not only is Rat Pfink on DVD but I bought it in one of two boxed sets, each of which features four of Steckler's films. More Steckler than any one person could stand! It's not so much that I didn't enjoy the goofiness of the film, it's more that the film has two distinct personali...
