Re: WHAT FOREIGN FILMS HAVE YOU WATCHED LATELY?
Fata Morgana by Vicente Aranda stars Spanish actress Teresa Gimpera, real life wife of American actor Craig Hill. It takes place in a recognizable future (depicted by a deserted Barcelona) that's had some undescribed disaster. A shady scientist proposes a method of predicting murder based on his the...

Playing a vicious mob boss in William Castle's comedy The Busy Body, Ryan breathes fire and chews the scenery to bits. He's hilarious as Sid Caesar's boss, high-strung and enraged 24/7.

I consider AI° extremely dangerous. I believe the scientists and corporations are moving too quickly to immerse it into daily life.

Re: Ridley Scott's "Napoleon" (2023)
The end of Waterloo had some footage of scavengers robbing the dead. It was difficult to watch. I still feel it was the best of the Napoleon films. Phoenix holds high the mumble mouth torch passed on by Brando, figuratively speaking.

Re: A Shriek in the Night (1933)
I enjoy seeing a film that looks like it was just released for the first time. Usually this is when a DVD distributor locates the negative after a search and strikes a new print.

Edana Romney only made two movies and this surreal film was her only starring role. The cinematography is excellent.

The Unknown Man of Shandigor, a 1967 surreal sci-fi/Euro-spy film from Switzerland. Daniel Emilfork is a scientist who's invented a way to neutralize nuclear bombs. It's sought by American, Russian and French spies. Howard Vernon and French singer/songwriter Serge Gainsbourg co-star. The silvery b&a...

Re: OBITUARIES
Lovely Glynis Johns, such a distinctive voice. It was good to read she was well enough to give an interview for her 100th birthday earlier this year. Among her many screen roles, I remember her playing the daughter of her real-life father Mervyn Johns in Halfway House (1944) and as the dance teache...

Yes, I've watched a few. It was on Samsung also before Tubi got them. I read that Disney bought the rights so I was surprised to see it on Tubi. I have no love for the Silvester McCoy and Colin Baker shows.
