Re: I'm Very Thankful That It's a Week and a Half Into the WB100 Month...

Longtime viewers of TCM know that many years ago TCM would show a short explaining why they were using letterbox for widescreen movies (back in the days when most people were using a TV screen with a 4x3 aspect ratio to watch TCM.) If you are sick of the Eddy Von Mueller short you might also have be...

Re: April 2023 Schedule Posted, WB 100th Anniversary

Will TCM ever show Angels With Dirty Faces (1938) again,? Luckily I have it on DVD. If we can all make it to 2034, perhaps TCM (or its equivalent) can show it when the copyright expires. It is nice that dvds are available, even though the film isn’t broadcast. The 1932 Joan Crawford film Letty Lynt...

Tuesday, April 18 - GERALDINE PAGE Watch on the Rhine (1943) Nobody Lives Forever (1946) (6:15 am ET) Geraldine Page wasn't in either of those movies nor was she a Warner Brothers contract player. She was only 19 years old in 1943. The entry should be for Geraldine Fitzgerald who was a WB contract ...

Re: April 2023 Schedule Posted, WB 100th Anniversary

Thought I should mention that it looks like your comment has been reflected in the schedule - TCM has inserted another theme on April 10. Starting with The Curse of Frankenstein, the afternoon films are listed as 'Produced by Hammer, Distributed by Warner'. Thanks for pointing out the difference. Y...

Re: April 2023 Schedule Posted, WB 100th Anniversary

TCM has posted a partial schedule for April, 2023 . . . Again, thank you, cmovieviewer, for your dedication to sharing Turner Classic Movies schedules. I, for one, welcome the salute to Warner Bros. and break from the, for me, tiresome and uninteresting menu of MGM movies. Regarding the April 10 da...

Re: May 2023 Schedule Posted, William Powell is SOTM

Just an update on the schedule - earlier today TCM posted the preliminary schedule for the dates May 21 - May 31, which were initially left out. There are still some holes but the schedule is now much more complete. My summary documents have been updated at the link listed above.

Re: May 2023 Schedule Posted, William Powell is SOTM

cmovieviewer, I'm wondering - do you have all of TCM's history archived? I currently have schedule records that go back about 20 years. Prior to that is incomplete. MovieCollectorOH has published a complete list of every title that has been shown on TCM, which is a big help. https://www.moviecollec...

Re: May 2023 Schedule Posted, William Powell is SOTM

It does not interest me in one respect. I am devastated to have missed all this. I am aggrieved. But you could not have knows the extent of it. So, thanks. I'm sure you meant well. I’m sorry, I did not mean to cause additional pain. I was thinking you might use it as sort of a checklist to identify...

Re: May 2023 Schedule Posted, William Powell is SOTM

Has Mary Astor ever been SOTM? Yes, Mary Astor was Star of the Month in March, 2014. Thanks. Interesting. i was so attentive to January 2014 when Joan Crawford was SOTM and watching her movies changed my mind completely about her. Too the Good. But I missed Mary. Drat! In case you are interested, h...

Re: What's with the TCM schedule?

Yes, this morning TCM actually did the reverse change for Daylight Savings Time and added an hour of programming instead of the "spring forward" where an hour is lost. They've been one hour late with the programming ever since. It's not clear how/when they are going to make the schedule ma...

TCM messed up the transition to Daylight Savings Time this morning, so currently everything is starting one hour later than the posted schedule.
