Re: I Just Watched...
But at the same time, I am morally troubled by the central issue, the whole surrogacy angle. I have utmost sympathy for couples that want children and can't have them, but there is something perverse about the idea, posited here, of having the husband make love to Hershey to conceive the child whil...

My first exposure to Marshall was doing commercials for Albany Savings Bank. Imagine my surprise when I learned he was a fine actor.Bronxgirl48 wrote: ↑June 11th, 2024, 8:35 pm I think he's the only one who doesn't name his profession.
I like E.G. Marshall, who is asked why he doesn't sweat.

SPOILER ALERT: About the ending of The Stepford Wives : to me, it's unclear whether Katharine Ross has been killed. I take the ending to be that she is now pretending to be her replicant self after killing the replicant (which we don't see). But this is not clear. I assume hubby would be able to te...

Re: All In The Family- Started Off Great But Later Went Downhill
One could say this for just about any tv series. Most stay on the air long past their shelf life. MTM and Seinfeld are 2 rare examples of shows that ended while they were still at the top of their game. Frasier is an example of the other extreme. Ran out of steam many seasons before they pulled the...

I swear I just heard Jacqueline Stewart say that the Hollywood Production Code "took effect in the late 1930's, early 1940's" These hosts must be on overload, since I remember Stewart saying the exact same time frame for when the minstrel cycle on screen ended. (unfortunately it continued...
