I haven't seen that one, but I did see Judy Garland singing "Silent Night" in what feels like a scene pulled from a movie since the short doesn't have any credits.
Anyone know what movie it's from?

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
Modern movie musing. Is it just me or is the modern fall of movies rarely more encapsulated than they were in yesterday's Golden Globes nominations? Barbie, based on the doll, was tied for second place for most nominated film of all time, tied with Cabaret, and just behind the record holder, Nashvi...

To be fair, nobody wanted to see Boris Karloff naked anyway. This version had the nudity and sex cut out to get a GP rating.

Maybe they could have brought in Miriam Hopkins to shake Bette.

Fedya, I always thought Sleepy Hollow was part of upstate New York, the Adirondack region. Nope. It's in Westchester. I recently watched The Famous Ferguson Case , a Joan Blondell pre-Code about the yellow press. It's a programmer, so not as good as Five Star Final or The Front Page , but pretty go...

No. I find Mario Cantone incredibly obnoxious.Detective Jim McLeod wrote: ↑October 13th, 2023, 9:57 am Anyone watching Ben and Mario Cantone on Creepy Cinema this month?
One thing I noticed was Cantone does an awful Bette Davis impression, he seems to be doing Bette after her 1983 stroke.

Sleepy Hollow is not upstate.
(Real upstate NY only begins when you get to the 518 area code, although some might argue it begins at I-84.)

Well then, I guess this is where I admit to actually looking forward to (and have for years) this sort of thing on the 'CBS Evening News' and their "On The Road" segment presented by correspondent Steve Hartman, and as their final segment each and every Friday evening and usually replayed...

Re: I Just Watched...
This would be Garland's final film and it is OK send off for her. In 1967, she was supposed to appear in Valley Of The Dolls in the part later played by Susan Hayward. I'm glad now she did not do it since the movie was trashy and the role would have be humiliating for her. I think the Helen Lawson ...

Re: MUSINGS, PONDERINGS, RUMINATIONS AND FANCIES
By the way, did I have a nightmare where James Mason plays a Chinese emissary, complete with "Oriental" make-up and a voice spouting fortune-cookie dialogue a la Warner Oland as Charlie Chan? Was this movie GENGHIS KHAN? Mercifully I fell asleep again. Yea, that was Mason as Kam Ling, in ...

Nominated, not won. Didn't Edmond O'Brien win that year for The Barefoot Contessa?

I'm sure they have enough audio/video of Robert Osborne that they could just use AI to make new intros and outros presented by an animatronic Robert Osborne. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
