Walter Brennan was outstanding in "The Far Country" with James Stewart. 1954 Directed by Anthony Mann.

Gladys Cooper was a MAJOR British actress, not a 'character' actor per se. She had a significant career on the stage and she played complex roles as a matriarch in many films.

In the biographies I've read about Hawks and Ford, both books said Walter Brennan was a nuisance on set and he simply never shut up!!
