9. The Wild Bunch(1969) A great supporting part in this violent western,as a lawman hunting for his outlaw friend. He has one of the best lines in the film "We're after men, and I wish to God I was with some!" Isn't the line "We're after men, and I wish to God I was with them"?

And if we had to include two of the Academy's choices? Picture: No Change Actor: Add Douglas and Williams. Douglas wins. Actress: Add Cher and Hunter ( Broadcast News ). Cher wins S. Actor: Add Brooks. Connery still wins. S. Actress: Add Ramsay. With Cher nominated, Dukakis is now more likely to win.

Re: A Glimpse of Classic Hollywood

Re: Ranking Only the Best (and the Very Worst) of a Movie Year Project

I have seen at least 56 movies from 1972. I wouldn't say it was a "meh" year. If I had to choose a year from the seventies, I would probably choose 1978. Here are my favorites from that year: 1. The Godfather 2. The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie 3. Solaris 4. Aguirre: the Wrath of God ...

Re: Least and Most Favorite Movie of the week

Last week I saw five movies. Menus-Plaisirs-Les Troisgros was the movie of the week, a fascinating documentary about the French restaurant of the same year, and another example of Frederick Wiseman's skill. It helps describes both the restaurant and the elaborate efforts to grow and get the food in ...
