Re: Worthy of a Knighthood and a Damehood

Alison, you are more than entitled to your opinions. It's obvious that a lot of thought goes into them. :)

Re: James Arness

I really liked James Arness. He was dignified and not a publicity seeker. My grandmother would stay up past her bed time to watch "Gunsmoke."
He is tied into some of my fondest memories of childhood and spending time with my grandmother. :)

Re: Kate and William

I saw a special on them tonight. They're a lovely couple and I wish them all the happiness in the world. I agree about the sentiment of the ring for William. I don't think anyone could possibly fault Diana as a mother. I modelled her somewhat in the personal affection she showed her children. My own...

Re: What are you reading?

Alison, Thanks so much for sending me "Lucky Stars" for my birthday! Despite being rush-rush during the cruise with excursions and two very hyper cruisemates, :) I read the first three chapters by the pool the last day. I've really enjoyed it thus far! It has lots of nice pictures as well....

Re: Jean Harlow as Star of the Month

I like her very much. She was a good little commedienne, but died just as she was beginning to show some range as an actress.
I think Wife vs.Secretary shows her developing talent the best.

Charley Chase

I've heard it said that the only reason he was not among the big three or four was that he never made a feature. Seen him in a few films, both silent and sound, and he was terrrific. I thought at least as good as Lloyd. Last night I saw him in "Limousine Love", which was improbable, silly,...

What I mean is a CFS support group. They would have the same illness, and might be able to offer suggestions
to help you feel better, and conserve your energy. :D

I think that may be why you need to conserve your energy in halves. Or even thirds. But that's why you need a support groug, sweetie. :D

Re: The whiny thread

Alison, I found these suggestions on the internet. I hope they are helpful. Also do you know of a CFS support group? If you find a support group, they may be able to offer suggestions too. •Try to stop or do less of the things that seem to trigger your tiredness. For a week or two write down what yo...

Re: The whiny thread

Best of luck Moira! When my car was totalled last year, I had to find one in three days as that was all that was covered on my rental.
2008 Hyundai, low payments, good warranty. Everything will work out! :D

Re: The whiny thread

Alison, I haven't been on here in awhile, and it wasn't until I got your email today that I realized how ill you've been. I had another friend who had Fibromyalgia years ago. The symptoms are somewhat similar except that with Fibromyalgia, it's combined with muscle and connective tissue pain. She wa...
