Hi,

He was absolutely horrible in "The Big Heat" and I mean that in a good way. He was suppossed to be and you just hate him. Poor Gloria Grahame.

Then, you see him in "Cat Ballou" and you can't help but smile.

Hi,

Thanks to both for informing me about Lorraine and Wendy. I've never seen any of those shows, but I'm sure they're good actresses and deserving of your praise.

Yes, just because we differ about anyone or anything doesn't mean we can't still be friends, and we are!!

Hi, I think you have many, many good people on here, especially Roy Rogers. He's the first person I ever thought of as a "movie star"..... Still love him. Just a few personal exceptions of mine: 1) never was crazy about Ginger Rogers 2) don't know who Lorraine Bracco nor Wendy Crewson are ...

Hi Judith,

Good for you; I like a gal who knows her own mind and has 'sticktoitiveness'........

And being from Brooklyn, all you need to do is think "Susan Hayward" and sally forth!!

Hi, I only watch the CTV Morning Show from Toronto. It has all the local, national and international news of the day. Then, because I'm usually never home after 10:00AM, I rely on word-of-mouth after that. Most of the 'news' these days is old recycled stuff anyway, so I don't pay much attention to a...

Hi, "I Married Joan" is very special to me because my grandmother was a good friend of Joan Davis and helped produce this show. She helped produce "The Loretta Young Show" and "The Martha Raye Show" too but around 1956 had a falling out with LY and MR, but remained on v...

Hi Ken et al, Well, I'm 65 and couldn't care less about advertising and commercials. I turn the mute button on whenever I watch TV and one comes on and throw all my junk mail in a wicker basket by my chair. I don't watch much TV anymore - it's all drivell and I go through my wicker basket every Sund...

HI, OK kiddies, here's what gets my goat whenever I view the news: The anchorman/anchorwoman always overinflates the reporters who are giving a story - - "Here's Brett Bradley with a live update on the current situation in Iraq!"... "That was Brett Bradley reporting live from Baghdad;...

Hi, This is one of the great movies about the "human condition", which included everybody and everything. Good, bad and ugly... It is one movie that once spied, you cannot leave. It draws you in and captivates you. I have never been one to knock David O. Selznick or his movies. He may have...

Hi Everyone, Here's some useless information: Just seeing the first picture of The Queen in all her jewelry reminded me of a story my grandmother told me about that tiara. It is known as 'The Vladimir Tiara' and is several intertwined circles of diamonds with pearl drops suspended in the middle. The...

Hi Hollis, You're definitely not an idiot, only an 'inquiring mind'.... But, stay away from the "National Inquirer" !!!!!! There are no stupid questions - - that's how we learn, from babyhood onward... Who, what, where, when why, how......... From why is the sky blue to how do we get to Ma...

Hi Moira and Miss G, Oh yes, Loretta wasn't all straight-laced religion, although that was important to her. The Young sisters and mother were grass roots people who worked and earned their money and had lots of fun too. I knew Gladys Beltzer better than the others, as she was a friend of my grandmo...

Hi, Two tales out of school about Loretta: 1) "Ramona" was supposed to be made with Dolores Del Rio but somehow she got it into her head that to appear as an Indian would be bad for her career. Then, Merle Oberon was supposed to do it, but Samuel Goldwyn put the nix on that. Then, Loretta ...
