"Thunderball" was the first James Bond novel I read. Just before beginning my junior year in high school, I suffered an appendicitis attack. While recovering from my appendectomy in the hospital (which took a week back then), my older brother's girlfriend, who was a candystriper, gave me t...

If I may... I was famous during the "Age of Classic Movies", but I only appeared in two movies. My first name is Gordon, but everyone knew me by my nickname. I was elected into a Hall of Fame specific to the field in which I gained my fame in 1996. After my "employer's" death, I ...

Anne: There are no words that will adequately express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. I hope you know that as you mourn you are in the midst of a group who feel we know you and care for you. With that I hope you know that we can be ones you can rely on for support, if only on the pages of this...

I felt that she was younger, but really don't think that it was ever determined in the book. Of course, girls weren't sent off to school like the boys were back then. Education was still reserved for males while females stayed home to learn to be housewives or were sent to work like Martha Cratchit....

I wanted to guess " Sean Connery ", but the Asian reference threw that out. Then I thought maybe it was " Dean Martin ", but he was not one of Hollywood's consumate tough guys. " Victor Mature " could qualify as Big Ugly (apologies to all of his fans), but he didn't see...

Hi, Anne . I'd just like to echo the sentiments of our fellow posters for good wishes for your Dad. Klondike : Funny the parallels we share. My Dad died in '86, just 6 years after my Mom. My daughter was 18 months old when he passed away. My Mother got to enjoy her four grandsons, but never got a ch...

That brings up a question I always had about the 1951 version: Scrooge's sister, Fan, is generally considered to be his younger sister. Young Scrooge tells her that she looks like their mother must have before she died. The Ghost of Christmas Past points out that Scrooge never forgave his nephew for...

It seems that all of the "experts" at IMDb agree that John McClane is at Washington's Dulles Airport, but the blooper still stands since that's still on the East coast. Myself, I was thinking it was Chicago.

Still enjoy all three of the Die Hard movies anyway.
