Re: *CANDIDS*
Around the eyes, I think LeeAnn Rimes looks like Simone Signoret.

Nail extensions. I never would've known. I always thought with such a thick mane of hair, she must have been blessed with equally lovely nails. That is such a beautiful photo of Agnes, PT.
Thanks for posting, Larry! I always love your personal stories of the stars so much.

Re: Least favorite Actor or Actrees of the Classic Period
Haha! I was reading about the latent childhood memories above. Maybe when I see June Allyson, I think of all the smiling she did over having to use Depends.

June Allyson--She gives me the biggest creeps with that sugary grin. Probably would've loved her in real life--who knows.

Re: Mary Astor
Thanks, CineMaven! I adore Mary. Most especially in Dodsworth. I think she's stunningly beautiful in that movie. But I agree with the poster that said contrast it with Act of Violence. Then watch her in Return to Peyton Place. That truly sent me over and made me fan for life. I should upload it! Not...

I had to do a double take of Diane Baker....I thought it was a young Lorraine Bracco in the picture.
The Burt Lancaster picture! I'll ditto...Good Lord! Very nice indeed.

Re: Aggie's Place -- Open 24 Hours
PT...I hope to be able to share The Blue Veil as well as some others of Agnes' films that haven't been released on DVD. I have The Revolt of Mamie Stover that I plan on uploading next. She has a number of scenes in the film. She also wears a terribly harsh blonde wig in it....Ah!! I always look forw...

Re: The great Jean Simmons RIP
I hate to hear or read of any classic actor/actress dying because they grow fewer and fewer, but this one shocked and saddened me a great deal. Jean Simmons seemed to be a very lovely lady and she was a fine performer. She is in so many great movies (a favorite is Guys and Dolls), but I also remembe...

Re: THE GOLDEN GLOBES
I just remembered that I have seen Monique in a very small role a few years ago. The film starred Helen Mirren and Cuba Gooding, Jr. I'd need to look the film up for the title, but I will say it was a bit of an odd film. She was good in it though. I've heard such praise for Precious, but I'm unsure ...
