Well here goes a laughable film I watched :( Alvin and the Chipmunks...Well it was an ok waste of time. Interestingly all the funny parts were early in the film. (if you've seen the commercials and trailers when it first came out most of the jokes are in them) The movie also seemed a bit rushed as t...

Yep as I noted in my review of RED SUNDOWN he was akin to cardboard. The interesting thing though is that I found out recently that he's the distant cousin of a sports talk show host here in Toronto. So it's enlightening to actually see what the guy was about. I can actually see the family resemblan...

Re: sports

Hollis Congrats on your Flyers win. The Eagles had an odd year, they pounded somebody ( was it Detroit?. and looked great. I didn't follow too closely. Were Westbrook and McNabb injured? I did see the first Giant game. The penalties beat Philly. It was flag, flag flag. I recall thinking. 'these guys...

I watched two movies from TCM and one of 3 old westerns that were lent out to my father last night. So in order of how I watched them: Union Depot - 1932 Interesting movie, It's basically Grand Hotel set in a fictional big city train station. The story is far too complicated to encapsulate but the m...

A lot of repeats but that's good in a sense as quite a few of those movies I didn't get a chance to watch or want to see again. There are some interesting movies i've never seen but the one that takes the cake based on the synopsis BORROWED TIME....It's about a father and son who traps Death in a tr...

It's been a while so let me explain myself LOL I got pulled into the Grand Theft Auto IV hype and the last couple days i've been playing my Xbox 360 like crazy! Anywho i'm taking a much needed break from that and returning to one of my favourite things: MOVIES! But first here's the lone movie i've s...

I saw a couple movies last night. The first was the Phil Harris B movie comedy I love a bandleader . I thought it was ok. The movie wasn't particularly funny and the songs were a bit grating to me. I did like the one song that the female group sang that goes something "woo eee!". Sorry tha...

Judith, I've never seen Fritz the Cat , though I remember some of the hoopla surounding sexually explicit toons in the theatre. I saw part of Bakshi's Lord of the Rings many years ago and wasn't very impressed with what I saw. I may try to track it down for curiousity's sake. If I remember correctl...

Well I watched two movies. One from the Golden Age and one from the late '70s. The first was the Gable-Loy-Harlow film WIFE VS. SECRETARY. I found it to be interesting but it wasn't nearly as "big" a picture as I thought it would be seeing who the stars were. There were some nice scenes th...

I haven't seen the movie but i'm sure Barris wrote a memoir the movie is based on. I suggest getting that, sometimes movies tend to condense and change things around a bit.

It'd also help to get a flavour of how much he's BSing :)
