Well, I pretty much worship Chaplin...but IMO this is nowhere near his best film. I *do* think it was very brave for the time...and I do think the social message was great. Also, the film had it's brilliant moments. Certainly the monologue at the end was fantastic...and I also love the part where "H...

Classic Film Art Forum FAQ

Well, I guess a little explanation is in order here since this forum was sorta 'my baby'. I have always wanted a place where people who do any sort of art related to classic film can share their stuff. Most of use who DO art, you see, do it not only for ourselves to enjoy, but others as well. In my ...

Nifty! I see several more folks have joined since yesterday! I'm really excited, guys. It will be SOOOOOO nice to have a place to post where there won't be arguments and pot-shots in every other post you read. Sad that it had to come to this...but in a way, it might be for the best. This way, we hav...

I have several of those and would be happy to trade with you. I don't have RAFTER ROMANCE at the moment, because TCM miscalculated the ending of that film by a fair amount and my DVD recorder cut it off. However, I believe it is being aired again at the end of the month and hopefully I will catch it...

I would like an entire forum dedicated to the task of bashing Lawrence of Arabia.

No bashing of Written On The Wind will be allowed, however. :P

I love this film as well. I can't say it is the best Griffith film as I've not seen anywhere near all of them yet. But I quite enjoyed this one.

REALLY sad though.
