Re: Our Family Album

Best of luck to you in the future, movieman! Life throws us many curve balls and it's a challenge sometimes. In 2009 I (thought) I was happily married and set for life. Then my wife moved out, leaving me with a lot of debt and primary support for 2 kids, 9 and 11 years old. :( I've come out of it st...

Re: Notifications of private messages

I hadn't thought about it or noticed, but it seems they are not sending anymore. I think there is a setting that is enabled but missing some information. I'll see if I can find out and get it going again.

Re: Larry's Time at TCM FF...

Hi Everyone, I had a marvellous time at the TCM Film Festival in LA this weekend. "Larry's Brigade" (Lynn & Jon, Christy, Alexa, Paula, Monika, David, Sam, Teresa & Joe, Glenn and Peter) dined at 'Sadie's' this year instead of 'Musso & Frank's' and had a fabulous dinner there ...

Re: Vote for Your Favorite Film Figures for the Banner

And now, George Cukor. I may not have mentioned this before, but besides making most of these banners, Professional Tourist has supplied all the quotes from these classic directors as well that we've been using, today's included.

Re: Vote for Your Favorite Film Figures for the Banner

I left that one up a long time! :) Up next, Billy Wilder, accompanied by the incomparable Marilyn (and the back of Tom Ewell's head). Thanks again to Professional Tourist for the banner. One or two more director banners before we give them a rest for a while and get back to the stars of the screen a...

Re: What recent films have you seen?

Affleck wasn't bad as Batman, but the character was a psychopath. Visually, he was the best looking Batman ever on screen.

Re: What recent films have you seen?

I saw Batman v Superman last week. I'm a fan of superhero movies but this one was just so dark. Wonder Woman was the best part, in her 2 minutes or so, which gives me hope for her upcoming solo movie. But the rest was just so grim.

Re: CANDIDS II

Curious now if any audio of Buddy Ebsen's recorded songs exist. Yes, and they are available on some soundtrack CDs that include out-takes, such as this one: http://www.amazon.com/Wizard-Oz-Original-Picture-Soundtrack/dp/B0000033JH Here's a clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDcgsRaGDao Thanks!
