Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
Theresa, I'm so glad you liked A Farewell to Arms I think I underrated Coop until I watched this movie, he's really great in the role but Helen Hayes's character is more dominant, it's hard to see what Coop is doing. Those loves scenes are so memorable too.

Re: To Dream of Dogs
Interestingly there is a programme on tonight about the secret lives of cats, cats being filmed with little cameras attached totheir collars to see what they get up to. I'd love to know where mine go to. What you describe of Fluffy is exactly what Fred did, God bless him, he'd been so ill yet he cam...

Re: Scott O'Brien: The Ruth Chatterton Biographer in June
I'm a huge fan of Ruth's movies, yet I know very little about the lady, I'm really looking forward to this. SSO rocks indeed.

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
Maven, Gary Cooper was sexy once, even I think so and A Farewell to Arms is one of the films to prove it, I hope you enjoy it. Coop did change didn't he? I thought perhaps it was just me, he's so raw and sexy in those early films, then he grows up and it's like he unlearns it all. He made some good ...

Re: To Dream of Dogs
It's not the end of Lara's adventures. Her dear Mama who is scatty beyond belief was walking with her to school when she drpped her sunglasses on the floor and broke them, I bent down to pick them up and set off again intent on mending them on my way to school, it was only when I'd gone about 30 yar...

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
Timothy Dalton is a bone of contention in our house, Chris thinks he's the worse Bond ever, I think he had great potential and wasn't fully allowed to exploit it. I'm glad they are heading back towards good story telling, I can't buy into the fact that a rogue agent would have such a grudge against ...

Re: To Dream of Dogs
I'd watch it, Lara is being groomed at the moment, she's submits but would rather be scruffy.

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
I watched Skyfall at my son's request. It's been months since he saw it at the pictures and it hasn't dimmed to him. I am immune to Daniel Craig's charm I'm afraid but Chris and Joe had talked it up so much I was really looking forward to it. I did really enjoy some aspects of it but then I lose it...

Yes, that was Lara's attitude too. She was no worse for wear, I'd love to have known where she'd gone.

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
It is worth it Red, it's an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours. I watched Skyfall at my son's request. It's been months since he saw it at the pictures and it hasn't dimmed to him. I am immune to Daniel Craig's charm I'm afraid but Chris and Joe had talked it up so much I was really looking...

Re: What are you reading?
She was of sound constitution to have pneumonia and be 8 months pregnant, I didn't know God made women that strong, he was certainly on her side that's for sure. It never ceases to amaze me how childbirth affects women differently, it takes no account of background or health to date, I've known a si...

Re: To Dream of Dogs
Love the photo, our neighbour has a dog just like that, I haven't seen him in that pose, yet. A doggy scare this afternoon, the guys, big and little have been working out front and one of them, probably the little one must have left the gate open, them they went to the tip in the car and I couldn't ...

I know that feeling, I have one at a sleepover tonight, not at ours and it's double trouble trying to occupy the other.

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
Yesterday I took a break from Dana Andrews movies, I think I've exhausted my collection and watched Conflict starring Humphrey Bogart, Alexis Smith and Sydney Greenstreet. I haven't seen this film before but aspects were fimiliar, especially the murder and the car going over the edge. Has this story...
