Well, hey there guys. Thank you for the accolades. Mrsl, it is almost impossible to find pics of Joan Caulfield. I searched and searched and finally settled on the ones pictured. They aren’t very good. I am a big fan of Joan. Dear Ruth and Dear Wife are two of my all time favorite films. But, I do s...

Now for Larry, here are all of the gals you listed. They are all stunners and resemble each other in various ways, all except O’Sullivan! Are you sure you wanted HER in this stellar line up? http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/garbomaniac/3-1066-actviv.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/g...

Ok, first is Mrsl. Although I see a resemblance, they really don't look much alike. Fontaine's nose is very long and narrow while Cauldfield's is a turned-up little button. But, they do resemble each other in other ways. What do you think now that they are side by side? http://i99.photobucket.com/al...

Well, of course! We all know MGM had NO IDEA what to do with her, and most people think it was because of her beauty, but you and I know it was her accent. The American public like the exotic at that time, but they did like their American Pie, and Hedy wasn't it. Funny, Vivien could pull off the acc...

Wowy Wo! It almost brings tears to my eyes to see some of the pics you post! We are all so in tune with these people. They are our lives! That pic of MacMurray, Fields, and Arliss ala 30, 50, and 70 is just so moving for me. I know they are all just pals sitting around getting drunk, but they had no...

Ok, here they are side by side. I tried to pick "like" pics. It was difficult because Vivien loves to look down, and Hedy has her head up or thrown back most often. Also, Vivien's photos seem full of light while Hedy's are darker. But, after looking at both, I guess that is the difference ...

The Women's Room

Of course, it is obvious that I have stolen this from Metry Road, but that is ok. We need activity around here and these two thread will be a shot in the arm! Here is a praiseworthy thread to the Male Form! I'll start, but I expect a lot of help! Let's start off with Buster Crabbe! http://i99.photob...

MOST interesting, Davis and Hepburn??? Two opposites to say the least! Yet, both extremely powerful. As I said, interesting. Ok, here comes an obvious one (for my introduction - I will get more detached later), Hedy Lamarr! What a BEAUTY! http://pic80.picturetrail.com/VOL1935/12012169/21356963/35129...

Oh, what a shame, mel! It was one of the rarest of the rare. I have wanted to see it for more than 25 years. It was considered lost. One copy turned up in the Netherlands, and it was restored as best it could be. The only time Gloria Swanson and Rudoph Valentino worked together was in this film: Bey...

Well, since I just accidentally made multiple posts of my last post, I will just replace them with photos: Here are two of Garbo in Grand Hotel with Rafaela Ottiano, at least the film won an Oscar. http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/garbomaniac/pho1642.jpg http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/...

It is a cryin' shame Cary never won, but didn't he get a lifetime achievement statue? Garbo did. I remember watching a clip or something on Gary Cooper, and it said that even though he had won before, that award meant more to him than either of the others because it embodied all of his work. Of cour...
