Re: 'Round the World Weather Report
Knitty, thanks for keeping those over there! We had a beautiful 82 degree day Sunday, but extreme winds. (Like I'm telling you anything.) Now back to chilly and rainy. At least it's not freezy, which it was exactly 1 week ago. That's the medwest for you! Keep an eye out for hailstones. And houses. I...

Wow, I feel like I've been on vacation! I will have to go back and do more of the reading on each pic later. Thanks so much for this travelogue!

Re: Open mouth - - Insert foot?
I think people are fascinated by a mental breakdown...we've all seen them in our families, friends or co-workers and sometimes you don't know that's what's coming. It's a little more obvious when it's a rich celebrity rants on national media instead a mere mortal calling his friends one at time in t...

Re: How to use natural products as beauty remedies and to soothe
Alison, No need to answer me in a hurry as I gather you've had a pretty stressful week. Just wondering, what is the difference between the different rose oils? Geranium, rose hip, Bulgarian? I have had rose oil before, but am not sure which one. Thanks, B (I posted well wishes for Libby on the other...

Re: The FINALS - Screwball Comedy
Judith, That's so funny, because I can't buy Hepburn as a screwball actress and I can totally buy it in Lombard! I admit that BUB is funny, but for some reason, my teeth grate when she keeps bashing into his car and when she's crawling around looking for the dog and when she talks in that weird tone...

Re: Jean Harlow as Star of the Month
I don't have TCM at home anymore, but I have most of these movies recorded and just had to pipe in, I adore Jean Harlowe. I think of her more as a character actress/comedienne, she makes me laugh all the time. But of course those unique looks propelled her to a different level. My favorites are Girl...

Re: The whiny thread
Between being busy and getting locked out of this site, I haven't been very consistent but wanted to shout out a hello to everyone. Luckily, Moira's been on hand to help me, and hasn't made fun of me once. Now THAT would be something to whine about! I hope all of you are seeing some climbing temps, ...

Re: How to use natural products as beauty remedies and to soothe
I love essential oils and would like to learn to use more. I am anxious to use more now that I have seen how cheaply they can be purchased on ebay. Lavender is about $10 at our craft chain store and seems to be about $3 on ebay. Do you have any recommendations about selecting it? I would also like t...
