Watched a couple B type movies this morning Rockin' The Rockies (1945) Hmm....long form productions were not up the Stooges alley eh? It was little more then an excuse for the musical acts in the movie. The best bit with the Stooges was probably the whole part where they get the Broadway producer ou...

This morning I watched Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991) starring Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson. This movie is far from classic but it was an okay time waster. The movie is essentially about two long lost friends who happen to be bikers on the side. They along with a few other of their fri...

Well I watched a couple of movies the other day. I'll go chronological Who's Harry Crumb? (1989) This is a John Candy detective comedy film. It's garnered a bad reputation as one of Candy's lesser efforts on film. I'd agree this isn't one of his best works but it's enjoyable if you're in the right m...

Last night I watched Sargent York and I thought it was okay. I think it may be a tad overrated. The first 45ish minutes of the movie was a bit of a bore to me. I also have to laugh at the idea of Gary Cooper playing a part that was meant for someone much younger. I've seen some other classic era act...

Where have you been? My other hobby has taken me away from this community :( BTW I watched the Richard Gere edition from beginning to end. Gere talks a lot of crap but I at least liked the format of the interview and how informal it seems at times. I'll have to catch more of these if more are aired.

I've been watching quite a few movies but the last one I watched was YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU. What a great film! Lionel Barrymore does a great job as Gramps and I gotta say that was one ECCENTRIC family! The message of the film is more relevant today then it was in '38 which is kind of pathetic i...

BOO!

Guess who's back :)

I've seen bits and pieces of the Elvis Mitchell interviews and I think they're pretty good. Definitely different then what Osborne would do.

Here's my query though, is this some kind of dry run for Mitchell to be the new face of TCM? What's your opinions/thoughts on that?

Here's a rare theatrical movie review: Well I have returned from Righteous Kill and I gotta say it's a pretty good movie. I think a lot of people came away disappointed because they expected more out of it then they should've. This is a cop thriller it's not supposed to be the Holy Grail. The movie ...

I dunno, i'm sure this movie played well when it was released (1933) but boy did it ever send shivers up my spine to think that a Hollywood mogul thought that a fascist dictatorship is the way America should go. Sadly, he had company among his fellow "Big Wheels", most conspicuous of whic...

Well as promised I watched a few movies last night. First up was Tennessee Johnson . This movie was loosely based on the life and career of President Andrew Johnson. I have to say that coming into the film knowing the history of the man that I found the storytelling LAUGHABLE. That's not to say the ...

Hi Hollis hope you're doing good as well.

The movie you speak of is Between Two Worlds (1944) I haven't had a chance to see it myself so I can't comment on it.

As a kid I never really appreciated Westerns but now I try to watch at least one western a week or at the very least most of one. There's something about the whole frontier and "make your own morals" type of storytelling in the movies. The only westerns I have a hard time watching are the ...
