:D Hi Charlie! Thanks so much for dropping me a line, and for the incredible compliment. I'm afraid all I do is copy pictures... Everyone always underplays their own work so I'm sure your art is beautiful, and a good set of pencils can be really important with drawing. I like the ones that have all ...

It is a shame about the Turner site, though I never have contribued much to the board. Rather I'm mainly a fangirl who goes around cheering for my favorite actors (and actress)... I've been over there recently, but only to respond in the Astaire thread and inglis' who are we all . I still hope...

Well, I enjoy the imagination and originality it seemed to impose. In all reality, censorship is wrong... I wouldn't want any sort of censorship today, so I suppose I would have objected to its being enforced in 1934. As for It Happened One Night , this was a pre-code, right? I thought I looked it u...

But in the meantime, there is a link just below the TCM couple called "View all posts since last visit." Click it and you get a list of all topics that have been replied to since you last viewed the board. Next to the thread titles is a small icon that looks like a piece of paper. Click t...

Some sort of cardiac condition, of course, he weighed like 350 pounds. It is a sad day for me, I often thought of attending his college, Liberty U.

What is great about the TV music channels is they always tell you the titles of the pieces, so you never miss what it was, as on radio. Aren't those stations devine? I love the 40's on 4, it has to be one of my favorites. I have thought about getting the same service in my car, but it is quite pric...

YES. I've searched and searched for a way to switch from the oldest to the newest... It was what I really loved about the Turner forums, but I have never seen it in any other forum I have ventured into. Blogs are set up that way, with the newest entry first. Makes alot of sense to me, but alot of pe...

Wood carving has to be one of the most soothing past times, and I am horrible at it. Even so, it is a great way to ease your mind. You should really try it, if you are good at clay - I think you would be wonderful at wood. But it can be dangerous... Anytime you have to work artisticly with knives it...

Yes, I saw the Olivier films coming up. I was thinking about recording a few (I have never seen any of his films), but wasn't sure which to do so. I may just pick a couple and see what I come up with!

Hello!

Metsfan, drawing animals is really challenging! But I am better at the animal figure than I am at the human figure. Like MissG, I'm not very good at that at all... Especially the hands are very difficult for me. What kind of clay molds do you make? Do you do pottery or figures?

Thanks so much Christy , for your kind words :D I used to do watercolors but have never yet tackled oils. I won't do so until I have made time for serious study and application because it is an art that requires tremendous energy and concentration. Given that, I may stick to watercolors! That'...

---have you thought of trying oils? I've done acrylic! No, no... I think I may have messed with oils when I was a little girl, but I'm no good with paint. Perhaps it is because I just love the texture pencil gives, I find it very difficult to create anything with paint that would look lifelik...

OMG, thanks to Chris, MissG, and PK! You know, it is really this site that has gotten me back into drawing... Perhaps I will get better, and be able to draw faster. The encouragement here has really been phenomenal, and I thank you all for it - helping out a struggling "artist" I'm h...

Yes, I saw it was pretty thick but had alot of images in it, which interested me! I found it in the back of an antiques store really cheap, I just have to go back and get it. Thanks so much, I will look out for David Robinson. I knew I could get some good oppinions on the whole thing here ;)
