^ Well, you can see some of them on TCM occasionally. Of the ones on that list, the one you are most likely to see on TCM is THE FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE. But since they just had a 'Valentino night'...and they had another Valentino night for his birthday back in May, I doubt you'll see it any...

^ Oh my! A new Valentino fan. I love them! :D And yeah, if you liked THE DELICIOUS LITTLE DEVIL and THE YOUNG RAJAH...and those are the only Valentino films you've seen (or close to the only ones you've seen) then you are in for a HUGE treat, because neither of those are among his best work. In fact...

Yeah, it *was* pretty wild, Fernando, what happened to Evita's body. I remember reading that it got 'lost' for a while and it turns out the coffin was being used as a desk in some government building or something??? And then she was eventually buried secretly in Milan, Italy, where she stayed ...

^ Thank you, sugarpuss. And yeah...I must admit that I was kinda discouraged. You make all this stuff and then when a thread gets 40 hits and not a single comment, you kinda worry if maybe you don't suck and everyone is just being too kind to tell you so! :P I know what you are saying about style. I...

I saw this film about a year ago on TCM - and was interested in it mainly because I love both Lauren Bacall and Charles Boyer. In short, not the best film I've ever seen. The cast did wonders with the material they were given. But unfortunately, what they were given was essentially a steaming pile o...

^ *teehee* I've actually done a fair amount of research on one of those military dictators. I have a long-running fascination with the Perons and have read quite a bit about them. Although I must confess that I am more interested in Eva Peron than in Juan...their rise to power as a couple is most fa...

You asked fer it, you got it! *FIVE STAR FINAL Amazing performance by Eddie G in this scandal sheet expose. *LITTLE CAESAR While the film overall is not as good as two other definitive gangster films made around the same time (PUBLIC ENEMY, SCARFACE), the reason to watch this film (over and over ag...

Gunfight at the O.K. Corral (1957)
I really hadn't planned to watch this film last night - as stated elsewhere, westerns aren't really my genre. But I was getting some stuff off the DVD recorder last night, and had this film on in the background. And I have to say - I really enjoyed it! I thought both Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas ...

Thanks to all who responded to my post. I'm glad I wasn't just missing something there, with Roy Rogers. I can see how those films would appeal to kids back in the 40's and 50's - that makes perfect sense! In fact, many of them are fairly short films too, by the looks of them - perfect for kid...

*teehee* You can see how often I come into the Westerns Forum. I didn't see this thread until now! But since it's one of the few I can comment on in here, I'll go ahead and bump it. I thought this was an amusing film. As a western, I can't say it was the best ever or anything...but I do think it wa...
