Re: The Domestic CAT: Feline at its finest!
They waste MORE money on the obvious! I second the nomination to submit that study to the Nobel Prize board. Ok, this is the last I'll say on the subject, but I was out to dinner with about eight people (here in California), and I mistakenly said Hoo-hah (hoo-haw) for hoo-raw, and the silence was de...

Re: The Domestic CAT: Feline at its finest!
Thanks, Nancy, that would be nice. Sometimes all we have are our animals, and if they don't get along the stress can be so disheartening. I suppose it is best to return her and try again.
And, I think you meant hoo-raw. Hoo-haw, at least in my neck of the woods, was very naughty! Ha!

Re: The Domestic CAT: Feline at its finest!
Hollis, You are sincerely welcome. And, I encourage you to let bygones be bygones. We all say things in hast that we regret later (klondike), and we all throw tantrums over unkind remarks (you), but it has been my experience that people are forgiving and forgetful. I would miss your contributions if...

Re: To Dream of Dogs
Wow! I'd never thought about THAT! I did want to get one of those gorgeous hounds: Afghan, Saluki, Whippet, or even a Greyhound. But, with cats, I have been warned that they may someday turn and kill my little kitties! You are right, nature can be cruel. So far, I have had minature poodles and chihu...

Re: To Dream of Dogs
Well, Alison, they get along great, now. But, when I brought the puppies home my cats DISAPPEARED for two days. They said, "What the HECK?" I was very afraid they wouldn't come home, but they know where the gravy train is. It took three months for everyone to finally settle in, and settle ...

I can't imagine what time has done to Tab Hunter's vibrant, youthful face. What a movie star smile.

I know what you mean, Judith. But, he was always a welcome sight to me in any film. It is hard to know everyone, and he was one of the first "nobodys" in a Warner film I recognized! In The Sisters with Davis, Bryan and Louise, he was one of the main guys: Flynn, Hale, and Foran.

Re: *CANDIDS*
Thanks! I knew I had read it somewhere, and it is so nice to be back up by such a credible source, you!
Well, I don't know that side of her. But, I am sure most of our idols had undesireable quirks. Again, that is why I don't read a lot of their bios.

Re: *CANDIDS*
I agree. At one time she was considered the most beautiful woman in the world. I read an article once that all of the statues in France, which had all been redone with the face of Brigitte Bardot, were replaced with the face of Deneurve! I wish I knew where I read that. It seems each town in France ...

Re: GARBO!
In 1927 Ruth Harriet Louise took pictures of Garbo to advertise The Mysterious Lady . They are some of the most beautiful pictures taken of her. She was 22, and on her way to becoming the biggest STAR in the WORLD! http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l315/garbomaniac/pho7707a.jpg http://i99.photobucke...

Re: WHAT FILMS HAVE YOU SEEN LATELY?
Wow! You just watched The Lady is Willing . That is one of my favorite films. I thought the pairing of Dietrich and MacMurray was perfect, too. They seemed suited to each other, and it all had a "real" quality to it. Love Dietrich's jealous tantrum. Of course, the whole thing could have be...
