Thanks for the review, Mike. I saw a discussion with the author on tv and it really got me interested in the book. Mr. Bogdanovich seemed genuine in his conversation which makes the book more plausible.

More amazing pieces of work Danny! I'm speechless with your capability for highlighting and shading. I would have gotten an ulcer already with all the small details on the clothes in that baby picture. Maybe I'll get back into drawing and try out some portraits. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm glad TCM will air "Mohawk" on June 11 and D.O.A. July 6th. I only pray they're not taken out last minute.

The only wood work I've done is making small scale weapons out of popsicle sticks. lol I'm fascinated with martial arts weapons so I made a few of these out of boredom and painted them.

I just ordered "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" on VHS and mostly because of this description. "Atmospheric and truly macabre, this surprisingly contemporary horror classic is famous for the way John Barrymore, with minimal makeup, used only facial distortion to transform himself. He was so ...

For those that dislike his films, I suggest you watch the easier dramas of his younger days. "Tomorrow Is Forever" and "Jane Eyre" are spectacular films you might enjoy. His characters are somewhat vulnerable and sympathetic.

I haven't done pottery since ceramics class in highscool but sometimes I'll do clay figures at home and break them all up again. Molding clay is harder than natural clay, so it gets frustrating sometimes for pinch contruction. It would be nice to have a large slab of clay on a large table to try mak...

Sorry I had not seen this thread before but I must say your work is excellent, Danny. You're able to capture reflections in the subject's eyes and they look so lifelike. I admire all of you that can draw people because I've tried a few times and haven't been successful. Animals are my main subject w...
